The Seed Foundation owns 48 acres in Arizona in Navajo County. We will be raising funds to put in a well, and then to build on the property.
There are so many potential uses for a large property that belongs to a non-profit organization especially in the areas of healing, wellness, art, community media, sustainable living, and animal rescue.
To contact us, we invite you to send your queries to The Seed Foundation. |
Arizona land: Many members are looking forward to organic co-op farming (of course no pesticides :) , different models of energy efficient windmills, etc. Even though the high plains of N.E. Arizona are windy, the temperature is quite mild. When Steve 'Peace' Pizzo surveyed the land a few years back in mid -December, he slept on the property using only a tent and a sleeping bag. Of course now, we have advanced to a Teepee, but unfortunately it leaks!.

Arizona needs a better roof!
Snowflake (pop 4,958) is in the White Mountains, 90 miles NE of Phoenix. When citizens of Phoenix (capital, population 1.3 million) want to get away from the heat and to relax they go up into the White Mountains. Snowflake has four seasons and features a quaint, historic downtown district with original pioneer era homes open for tours. Homes on Main Street have been converted into charming Bed and Breakfasts. The Seed Foundation plans to also have a B&B to help support its Multi-faceted Center.
One interesting fact I'm sure you'll enjoy is that Snowflake was founded in 1878 by Erastus Snow and William Flake. (Nope, not the Snowflake you were thinking of).
Leaving Phoenix and traveling up through the mountains you'll see the 'Sphinx' in the distance. You're getting closer to your Snowflake!
