About Us
The Seed Foundation was founded by Carl John Pizzo. The Seed Foundation is a Public 501(c)(3) (non-profit status). His background was as a Computer System Technician for the Blue Cross/Blue Shield in New Jersey.
Carl, being physically challenged, has a passion to bring answers to those who are also physically challenged. He feels that there needs to be an organization that people can believe in. If there is none, then he will observe and find out which groups or individuals do represent what one does believe in. Link and network their purposes and an undeniable force for good shall arise.
The Seed Foundation is that organization that can be the undeniable force. Carl has been involved in organizations that aid those who are less fortunate for the past 20 years. Carl has seen the plight of the physically challenged and he knows that government aid is not enough and that there can be more that can be accomplished.
Carl's desire is to not only make an impact in the present, but also the future. It is big as creation ~ it is small as the thought in each of our minds. It started as grade school children questioning why adults are such hypocrites and killing each other when they all had the same "Golden Rule".
It is realized that the youth in all countries feel the same. "practice what you preach!"
Two rules:
(1)The Seed Foundation will not re-invent the wheel. If a foundation is doing good deeds and they are honest, we will partner with them.
(2) The Seed Foundation only survives if it is an honest, noble venture. If the high standards are not kept, it gets dismanted (observation of corruption of word and deed caused its birth). Mankind's inhumanity to mankind, I would have to say, goes along with the wish of the children that adults should practice what they preach.
The Seed Foundation is a growing ring of friends that want to leave this planet a better place for having been here. TSF realize nobody knows how much time they have, so are grateful for having a catalyst of communications ~ that is The Seed Foundation. Let's put our minds to the task and see what we can accomplish!

Who Wears Our Necklace
At this point, 1000's (more like tens of thousands). Whoopi Goldberg (one of many celebrities) took four for her grandchildren. The Dali Lama blessed some (at the Parliament of World Religions in South Africa 1999). Carl Pizzo has been distributing the necklaces for over 30 years. (We created librus, the forerunner of The Seed Foundation.)
The Meaning and Birth of The Necklace
As we pass through life, we like to see some type of progress made. Take Ireland for example. Carl Pizzo came into this world and the Catholics and Protestants were killing each other. Carl heard it was happening for years!
His brother fought in the Vietnam War. As he was carrying his rifle and running through a smoke filled field, he noticed a farmer tending to his business. He stopped and asked the farmer what he thought about all this? He said, "It doesn't matter who rules us, we are still going to catch fish and grow rice!" Well, that was it for me. Enough was enough! I felt I had to do something. I was never one to wear jewelry, but jewelry with a purpose a meaning, yes! My father in WWII, my brother and at this rate if I don't try to do something probably even my son (eventually I was right - Desert Storm).
The idea of the "We Are One" necklace was born. If everybody exclaims the same philosophy (Golden Rule), then why is there so much hypocrisy? If there is one thing I would like to see before my time is up is that people practice what they preach! The message ... Do you think our combined message can make a difference? Our lives can make a profound difference. If as a civilization we stand together and say, "Enough is enough!" Aren't we all tired of this? If we stand together, can we make a difference in our lifetime? Does our 4,000 weeks on this plant (80 yrs.) stand for anything? Did our existence on this plant stand for anything? If we stand together, it will. When does Neanderthal Man grow up? Sometime you think that the powers that be, want us all to be divided! We are good people; we need a catalyst of communications.
In 11th grade history class, we talked of different time periods - Neanderthal's common remark, "I'm glad I didn't live back then", and other times seemed progressive and the students said they would have liked to live then. What will future students think of our time in history - the latter half of the 20th century and the first half of the 21st? What did/do we stand for? Will they laugh and say how Neanderthal, or look upon us with admiration? ... personal observation by Carl Pizzo
What We Offer
A catalyst of communications where we have an opportunity to express thought and as much of ourselves as we wish and feel comfortable with. With the encouragement of each other, we will feel more comfortable and have the strength to carry our ideas and dreams through to the next level. May the 'force' (or whatever you call it) be with us ... goodness knows what we are up against.
But just by having this opportunity lifts the spirit and gives hope. So from the plains of Africa to the mountains of Columbia, etc., no matter where one lives, "we are one". Every time we take a breath, we prove this. Now we want the history books to say, here was the time in history when mankind lifted from the mud and up into the stars.
The Seed Foundation offers a chance to 'believe in yourself' (we are your support team as you are ours ~ dreams intertwine.

EarthTHOUGHT ~ This is about US; not race, religion, color or creed but OUR TIME in History! (On average we have 1,500 weeks~30 years). Can we can utilize OUR TIME left in the most creative way ~ how will WE be remembered? If there was a Foundation willing to back Your Project, what would it be?
Carl Pizzo invites all of you to partake in his EarthTHOUGHT Google group forum, issues, input, sharing, etc. It is a very informal place to share your innermost thoughts toward the issues of our daily lives worldwide. Join in; don't be a stranger. Your invaluable thoughts are important to all of us.
